A well-maintained playground playground, the playground has most of the expected features of a neighborhood spot.
This was the last of several playgrounds one afternoon, and our toddler was mostly over it. That's probably an unfair evaluation because this playground was perfectly nice.
The equipment was in good condition, and just old enough to be interesting with a lot of variety in climbing pieces. The tot's side had a nice structure, stairs up on one side, a bridge and a slide.
There were lots of swings that's your kid's idea of fun – ours has moved on.
There is a somewhat unique chain and wall climb. The angled surface has a few grips, but none big enough to really climb along the surface without using the chain suspended from the top of the platform. We haven't come across this particular feature before, but it definitely has some potential for slightly older children than ours.
The older kid's equipment has a lot of emphasis on connecting the two platforms with monkey bars, which have never been my favorite feature.
The playground is also known as Parkside Playground (not to be confused with a Parkside Playground in the Bronx), which opened in 1956 as part of PS 92. It's operated jointly by Parks and the Board of Education.
