A pretty park with a mismatched collection of playground equipment and small grassy area, the Marion Hopkinson playground was a great little find.
We met up with our toddler friend here and the two kids enjoyed climbing up and down on the slides, right up until they discovered a little concrete wall they could balance on. They balanced on this back and forth several times before giving up.
The little green lawn was nice too for kicking around the soccer ball, although there were a couple of old metal fence pillars sticking out of the ground that I worried would cause an injury. Luckily we escaped unscathed.
It's a pretty setting and plenty of trees, and it feels isolated from the city with all the trees and brush. The landscaping really makes a nice setting, and it's also pretty easy to keep track of the kids.
Every neighborhood playground should be this nice and well maintained.
