A hot, busy park in downtown Greenpoint. It could use some more trees and shade, but the location is great for shoppers and pizza-eaters alike. Settle in while your partner picks up dinner supplies at Big Night and a slice at Paulie Gee’s, then make them wait while you go into Word. Your kid will be amused enough playing on the bulldozer toy.
A great spot to grab a slice from Paulie Gee's Slice Shop and let the kids run around while eating, this playground's appeal is the proximity to the shops, bars, and restaurants on Franklin Street
Bruno did have a particularly good time playing on the bulldozer-styled climbing equipment. There were some good knobs to twist.
I have found the drainage here isn't great and puddles can form around some of the equipment.
There is often a lot of people here on weekends because its in the center of the retail area.
The playground is not as patriotic as it sounds. The name comes from the American Manufacturing Company that owned the land the playground sits on as part of it's five-block complex.
