It might be easy to mistake this little playground is part of a larger, private development, but its a small piece of public space overlooking a small marina.
We came on this playground by accident driving around one afternoon and decided to come back at dusk. This park was great, especially at the golden hour.
Since this playground is along the water, it is a bit cooler than some of the inland parks, plus there were plenty of boats to look at. That's always a plus with a toddler.
And the main piece of playground equipment is shaped like a sailing ship. I think they carried off the theme here pretty well. The small piece of equipment intended for toddlers was kind of basic. We got lucky that a pair of twins showed up and wanted to play with a slightly older toddler.
The slides on the playground equipment was a little tight for a parent's behind, which of course was a problem when our toddler insisted we slide with him.
It's not an overly complicated playground, and of course there was a rope hexagon for climbing, but overall it was a really pleasant experience.
