This modern park in Harwich offers a lot of climbing equipment.
We'd been trying to get to this park all summer, but every time we got close, our toddler would end up falling asleep. Finally this winter we arrived just before he passed out on one of the coldest days of the year. He didn't last long, but it was enough to know he probably wants to return when it's warmer.
The playground mostly consists of large, manufactured pieces of equipment in good condition. It's one of the newest playgrounds we've come across on the Cape and in the best condition. While many of the playgrounds seem to gather toys and other items, that's not true here where everything is prim and proper.
Like a lot of the newer playgrounds in the city, there is a big emphasis on weird climbing things that a lot of kids don't know what to do with.
We're definitely planning on returning to this playground–assuming our kid doesn't fall asleep on the way there.
The park was once the homestead of Ebenezer Broadbrooks.
