Reviews

Not Your Nanny's Review

Everything in the Rodney St playgrounds feels very retro and like it might give your kid tetanus. All set against the lovely backdrop of the BQE’s soundtrack! They are very, very empty though (I wonder why?) so if you need a lot of space or would rather not interact with anyone they are a good option.

About the Playground

The playground is one of three in Rodney Park. Rodney Park consists of a series of lots along Rodney Street adjacent to the BQE. The park was named in honor of Caesar Rodney, a Colonial-era statesman originally from Delaware. The park was created as part of the construction of the BQE which ripped an existing neighborhood in two, forever scarring Williamsburg's community and leaving in its wake lost housing and oddly shaped lots. The BQE is set to receive another $240,000,000 while Rodney Park was last upgraded with $168,843 back in 1999.
