Playground Papa's Review

The school playground is convenient and new, but not necessarily the most fun.

The great thing about this playground is that it sits right next to one of the main public parking facilities in Provincetown. Some days we stop here on the way into town and on the way out for a full double playground experience.

The equipment is brand new, but the choices that were made are mixed quality. The slides are fine but the other pieces are a bit confusing. There's a conveyer belt type thing that our toddler eventually figured out he could crawl on. He's not quite big enough for the spider-web rope climb, but even if he was, I don't know where he would climb to.

The spring-loaded jumping structure was a bit too tightly wound for him to move it himself. We had to bounce it for him, but we're a bit too big. He likes the balance beam.

One time we were here and some teenagers were at the top of the slides smoking weed. Kids, marijuana is legal in Massachusetts. Go smoke it on the beach, not the little kids' playground.

What is nice though is that the Pilgrim monument stands over the playground, although in the summer its more difficult to see because of the trees.

Overall I appreciate how new this facility is and the convenient location. But it is mostly utilitarian and the other playgrounds in town are preferred.
