A very hot, sunny playground that would otherwise be quite fun.
The Koreson State Park playground was sort of a bust, but we wondered if maybe this larger playground might be better. It was crowded with people, but it was hotter than the surface of the sun. I don't understand how anything outside in Florida can be left unshaded.
There was a lot of emphasis on climbing on this playground, with fake rock walls and those giant rope hexagons. But it was so hot, nobody was interested in playing here.
The park also has pavilions that presumably can be rented for parties. There was a birthday party next to the playground with an inflatable bouncy house, but we had to explain to our toddler he wasn't allowed to play in it.
There were a few things that had been poorly maintained blocked off with plywood to keep people from using them. It was a great user experience.
I might consider coming back here at sunset, but ultimately this is never going to be a useful playground unless its very cloudy.
