Playground Papa's Review

This tiny little playground is technically part of a private lake association, but it's easily accessible outside of peak summer hours.

This playground is basically the only thing within walking distance of my parents house and it's where our then toddler first fell in love with swinging. Don't worry, he's since fallen out of love with swinging.

The playground sits right on the beach sand for the lake's swimming beach. At Thanksgiving, its cold, and the wind comes off the lake, but at least there's something to do with a toddler who has too much energy.

The equipment is pretty beat up, and often there were little puddles of water on the slide, and ultimately our kid just wants to dig in the sand. But its pretty functional otherwise. There are other swings across the parking lot.

About the Playground

The man-made lake was created in the 1930s as a summer resort community.
