When you're tired of looking at animals, the playground is a chaotic place to catch your breath.
It's worth pointing out that the Naples Zoo requires an admission fee, and the playground is only accessible inside the zoo. The zoo is about the right size for toddlers, although ours refused to ride the boat to see the monkeys on monkey island. We did see a tiger and giraffe (both of which can be seen at Bronx Zoo).
This playground though was basically a holding area for small children and it was filled with kids running around without much parental supervision. I'm not really sure what people were waiting for, although it was adjacent to the picnic tables and snack stand.
We stopped here briefly after marching our toddler around the zoo, and to be honest were ready to leave. He insisted on exploring it but was pushed around by some of the other kids.
The playground equipment was fairly new, but there were too many kids climbing on it for the experience to be very good. This is one worth skipping if you can, although it is right next to the entrance too.
