A basic toddler playground, this spot fills up quickly on the weekend.
The appeal of this little playground is as a waystation to the bigger park area. The playground equipment is definitely meant for children on the younger side. The simple layout is easy for younger children to get around on, especially because there is a ramp for access to the climbing structure.
There are not enough seats at high volume times and there are too few swings. There isn't much shade here either.
What is nice about this little playground is that is near the farmer's market and it's enclosed in a busy area, but overall the other nearby playgrounds are probably a better bet. At three, our toddler has probably already outgrown this spot.
Part of the 30-acre Fort Greene Park, this toddler playground is somewhat neglected by history, while the northwest playground was last renovated in 1996.
